i just replace my orig muffler with a jardine rumbler. b4 i had a small amount of backfiring...now i have alot of backfiring and they are more violent. i removed the copper ring gasket from the old muffler and put it in the jardine and used hi temp silicon gasket sealer to seal it. i noticed when i put the copper ring in the new muffler it got pushed back pretty far. b4 my muffler let out a small fart when i shut it off..now it sounds like a cannon. it also pops when i let off the gas and sometimes when i let off the gas to shift gears.. is this normal? i know the bike runs lean from the factory and causes backfiring, but it is worse with the new muffler..any suggestions? If I remove the whit spacer will that solve my problem? any help greatly appreciated!
